..at least for the father living under our roof.
Tyler LOVES Cannon Beach. He loves the relaxation and ability to nap on the beach without excuses, the easy going nature of the town, the water, picnics, and Haystack rock, but most of all he cherishes watching Tucker run up and down the beach..no rules, no leashes, just him, a ball, and countless other dogs roaming the beach. It truly is a taste of heaven for Tucker too. Because Cannon beach is such a remarkable place for Tyler that is just where we took him to celebrate Father's day and the magnificent father he is.
We started off celebrating Father's day with a couple of homemade gifts. Collin hand painted daddy a greeting card and a hand print T-shirt. He was a little hesitant at first to smear his hands in the paint, but thoroughly enjoyed "cleaning off" and immersed himself completely in the water bucket and enjoyed splashing away the paint.
We're sure this shirt will become one of daddy's favorite weekend warriors!
Tucker even helped to celebrate Tyler. And because food is so dear to this dog's heart, what a better way to say "I Ruff You" than with a homemade ice cream cake, just the way Tyler likes it (no H&B style We're back..) and with some Great Range Buffalo meat. Tyler's taste buds were tickled and so were Tucker's.
The fun didn't stop there. We were off to Cannon Beach for the weekend and had so much fun watching Tucker and Collin play in the sand, chase kites and birds, and run through the water, neither one seemed to mind the fact that the water temp was completely bone chilling, and behaved as though it were 80 degrees.
Both took face plant after face plant in the sand, and ate more sand than imaginable, but never paused for a moment to slow down.
we enjoyed picnics
and took a luxurious nap
and Tyler enjoyed one of the best father's day gifts ever, someone in the household to eat meat with. ..That's right, my meat rejecting little boy (which I secretly LOVE) couldn't get enough of Tyler's ribs. He shouted out "Bite, Bite" over and over again and very well may have eaten more of Tyler's ribs than he did himself.
Happy Father's Day Tyler!
