To celebrate America's Independence we sailed north to one of our favorite Washington destinations, Friday Harbor located on San Juan Island.
Grandma and Grandpa joined us for a weekend full of picnics overlooking the harbor, relaxation, and lots of nothing. It was FABULOUS!
Collin loved the freedom to run through the fields, adventures to the park, practicing his somersaults, unscheduled nap times and sleep overs with mom and dad.
We enjoyed dipping our toes in the icy cold water from the docks and observed all of the inebriated boaters secured to their boat slip, partying the weekend away.
We made a trek up to the light house to look for Willie and all of his friends, but it appears Willie is more than free and off far into the deep sea because we never saw him or his pod.
We watched a parade and Collin loved all of the trucks and tractors, the dogs and horses, and the festival musicians that marched down the street.
We dinned on yummy Mexican Food
And enjoyed the scenery on our way to and from the island during our ferry ride. We had a fabulous fourth of July and hope you and yours did as well!
Prior to our Friday Harbor departure grandma spent a couple of days with us and because a Grandma believes her job is to spoil, that is just what she did. Grandma found out that one of Collin's most favorite things are BIKES, so we made our way to the store and Grandma bought Collin his first bicycle. He absolutely Loves it and we're having a hard time separating him from it. If you can't get a hold of us, you know where we are....we're out front practicing his cycling skills.
Thanks Grandma!
