Today Tucker relished the fact that it was his very own Third Birthday! He had the enjoyment of indulging on a large femur bone while frolicking in the sun, follow up with a long afternoon nap.
Reminiscing about our four legged friend, I can't help but think of his pup years, and how far he has come from his ankle biting, rug chewing, shoe stealing days. Regardless of how many of his characteristics have changed, two things remain constant. He is still just as ornery, in a fun loving less destructive way, and he continues to love us just the same; unconditionally.
Our little Tucker bear makes the Schilling house complete. Maybe it is the ecstatic greeting we receive when we walk in the door (regardless if we have been away for 5 minutes or 5 hours), his lust for life , and his enthusiasm for car rides, long walks and ice cream, yes ice cream ( just like Tyler)! Or how he uses our carpet as a towel to dry off from the rain, and the way he wiggles his way in between Tyler and I at night, so that soon we are both falling out of bed and he has the luxury of being sprawled out diagonally, nestled up in our pillows. I love his gentle, however very sloppy and not so fresh, wet kisses, his velvet ears, and his warm breath in my face in the early am as he nuzzles me intensely for a wake up call. So much to love about a dog, and so much to learn.
We love our little Tucker, life just wouldn't be the same without him. Our hope for him, many, many more adventures, afternoon naps, and frolics in the sun! Happy Birthday Tuck Bear!
