We’ve been busy. Life is always busy, full of surprise and reason to celebrate.
We celebrate each day for the gift that it is. We celebrate the opportunity to be together. We celebrate the sun, the amazing slime we made, the beautiful crumpled up foil and the way it sparkles in the right light. We celebrate the amazing friends we have and how super nice it is that they share their toys with us. We celebrate that Sid the Science Kid discovered worms in his soil and can’t wait to go on a worm discovery filed trip of our own. We celebrate the beautiful rainbows in the sky and can’t seem to wrap our minds around the idea of how God knew to place it in the sky like that.
We Love to celebrate and as of recent, in particular we have enjoyed celebrating the people we love.
Daddy turned another year older, and Collin has known for quite some time that as soon as it was Daddy’s turn for a birthday he would love to go celebrate at the Alligator store, the store just down from mommy’s blue jean store. He knew daddy would like it just as much as Collin imagined he himself would like going there someday, so that is exactly where we took daddy for his birthday lunch, The Rainforest Cafe. And just as Collin expected, daddy was tickled and very surprised at the location of his special birthday meal.
The kids ( and daddy) cherished the entire experience. The trumpets of the elephants, the tropical rainstorm, the fish….
What is a birthday without special treats? Collin couldn’t wait to help daddy blowout his candles and share a bite or two of daddy’s favorite homemade peanut butter pie with him.
We enjoyed celebrating our favorite valentine’s and making them scrumptious sugary treats, and homemade colorful masterpieces.
It was delicious.
It was messy.
And when we were done we could share just a select few mouth watering cookies with our favorite Valentine’s, but most of them were just too beautiful for sharing and needed to stay in Collin’s kitchen. After deciphering which cookies and art masterpieces stayed and the ones that were “ok” to deliver, we packed up our cupid wagon and delivered our love to our local favorite valentine’s.
We hope you have been just as busy celebrating too!
