We flew to the mile high city to celebrate Aunt Nicole and Uncle Andy’s marriage and meet our new little angel, baby Ward, Aspen Annison.
She’s beautiful, loving, an absolute gem. At times I think Kylen truly loves being a Big sister. Her and Collin even teased over who’s baby sister was who’s.
We had a fabulous time, and played our hearts out the entire trip.
We did what little kids do best and played in the dirt, fished for crawdads, played at the parks,
we rode hot rods,
and galloped with the farm animals.
We re-fueled and played full throttle again.
We we’re domestic divas …….and a dude.
Nicole and Andy opened up their home to family and friends to celebrate their union. And for a moment, Cousin Wyatt stole the show as he introduced his new friend and nestled next to the food table.
Snips and snails and puppy dog tails, and don’t forget snakes, that’s what little boys are made of.
As our trip came to a close and we prepared to head to the airport, a plane ride that was inconveniently scheduled to interrupt afternoon nap, dinner time and overlap bedtime. A plane ride I was dreading.
As we worked our way through security, a TSA man in uniform reached out to Kaylie and said: “didn’t they tell you angels are not allowed on the plane.”
My response, a girlish giggle “ let’s hope they both act like angels.”
TSA man: “Well lets just hope their wings don’t get in the way”
And just like that, the travel angels were with us. Collin and Kaylie were picture perfect as we made our way back to Seattle.
