Greetings!

Every night when daddy comes home Tucker runs to the front door, falls to the ground in utter excitement, working himself up into such a frenzy he begins to howl in delight.

Collin also hears the keys jingle in the doorway, throws down whatever toy has capture his imagination for the time being, and runs as fast as a little toddler can with outstretched arms and an open mouth waiting for his kiss hello. He embraces his dad for a brief moment in the entry way, and then begins to vigorously wave his hands back and fourth with enthusiasm.

Although daddy's evening homecoming is brief, it is a moment to cherish and tuck away in your heart forever. Being a parent reminds me that it is the smallest things in life that have the most significance, and it reminds me that we should all let our loved ones know just how special they truly are; just as our furry friends provide us with unconditional love, and our small children think we are the center of the universe.

You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them. ~Desmond Tutu

Families are like fudge - mostly sweet with a few nuts. ~Author Unknown
