We had a fabulous weekend.
Kaylie and I started out our weekend with a picturesque baby shower.
Delicious food, great company, with breath-taking views.
Kaylie had a marvelous time roaming the grounds, dining, and helping with gift opening.
The boys stayed home to work on home projects and a builders workshop where Collin earned another completion pin.
Congrats little builder!
That evening we settled in for another dinner-movie night to view Madagascar in preparation for our trip to the zoo.
In the midst of preparing dinner, Kaylie got away from us. Unfortunately for her, her chair remained fastened to her little rear.
The fourth of July, a typical pacific northwest fourth, atmospherically speaking.
A blanket of clouds hovered over us, so instead of galloping about outdoors, we, all 5 of us, took a fantastic two hour nap.
It was awesome!
After snoozing the summer gloom blues away, we were ready to celebrate.
We bounced, took a train ride..again, and again and around again.
We B-B-Qued, ate way too much delicious, yummy, add a few inches to your waist line type of food, and stayed up way too late to view the fire-works.
Happy Birthday America!
Collin’s reflections: I love it, lots of it. America have another birthday tomorrow?…everyday
Then July 5th rolled around and magically the pacific northwest begins to experience summer. To celebrate, we went to the zoo.
We saw the sharks, the seals, the snakes, etc. and headed for the kid zone to let loose some extra wiggles.
and after a busy day of animal viewing, and a fun-filled weekend, our get-up-and-go came to a crashing halt.
