Tyler adored the trash truck as a little tot and had dreams of becoming a waste management service man. The idea of dangling off the side of the truck collecting others disposables was a wonderful dream. For Collin, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
This week we bounced like a little Joey, and tumbled and sang at a local little tot gym, and had lots of make believe time, but nothing lit up his world like transforming into a Trash Truck Chaser. We spent hours, not kidding..HOURS meandering from neighborhood to neighborhood searching for the dazzling waste management vehicle you see below.
He LOVES trucks, his entire universe lights up at the sight of a tractor or a truck. His innocence is Bliss.
Every Monday morning Collin rises early and eagerly awaits this weeks trash pick-up. We bundle up and stand on the curb, greet our waste management service man, Eric, that's right we're on a first name basis with this wonderful man. He and Collin have become Monday morning buddies. Eric greets Collin with an enthusiastic wave, lifts up the trash, and toots his horn. After the Trash Truck departs, Collin runs as fast as he can back in doors and make believes trash pick up with his toy trash truck. But this week, Eric had a special treat for Collin. He let Collin jump onto his truck, press a few buttons and test out the drivers seat! Talk about lighting a little boy's universe on fire!
As for Friday's photo op.....Collin enjoying a fantastic Cup of Joe, decaf of course. What can I say, he's from Seattle! Thanks for the Java Grammy!
As for my Friday, I experienced something new. My precious bundle of joy, Kaylie was cooing on the floor, and I, smothering her with kisses, when all of the sudden she yakked her left over curdled milk right into my mouth. Just another moment as a mom-preneur.
